Hope Team & Clients

Hope Team treats young people ages 10-26 with unusual and extraordinary experiences who process the world around them differently in what they believe or how they view things. Common examples of unusual experiences are listed below, but individuals may differ quite a bit in their individual experiences

  • Not always being sure of what is real or what is imaginary
  • Familiar surroundings or people feeling strange
  • Feelings of possibly being watched or that others may want to cause harm
  • Feeling that maybe you have special powers or gifts that others don’t recognize
  • Hearing, seeing, and feeling things that others do not (e.g., voices, whispers, shadows)
  • Feeling not in control of your own thoughts at times

Unusual and extraordinary experiences are common (5-10% of people) and do not usually interfere with a person’s daily life. When they do interfere

Hope Team can provide an assessment for these experiences.
